Happy Fall, everyone. I hope you’re all staying healthy, positive, and warm now that the temperatures have begun to drop. Just as the transition into spring prompts spring cleaning, fall in this house means nesting. Every year I pick a room and try to switch things up to prepare for the winter months. One of the areas I’ve been eager to revamp is my bedroom, which has led me in search of the perfect white bedroom designs.
White is certainly the color of the moment, but for me, it will always serve as the perfect backdrop for any room. No matter the rotating or revolving trend, white is sure to stand the test of time. While some might find the absence of color to be cold or sterile, it is precisely the lack of color that calms my mind at the end of a long day. Perhaps for some of you, you can find that same sense of calm while looking at these examples.
Newport Coast – Pure Salt Interiors
This bedroom is simple and timeless. Layered shades of soft linens on the bed and headboard offer the ideal place to relax. The light wood floor is broken up by a grey rug in a traditional pattern. Paired with a weathered wood bench and nightstand, this space feels collected and lived in. An olive tree in the corner breathes some life and color into this room, making it one of my favorite white bedroom designs.
Small But Tall – Studio McGee
While the square footage in this space may be small, the ceilings are high and bounce plenty of sun light. Here, to take advantage of the ceiling height, Studio McGee added a higher bed with a tall headboard. This draws your eye up, and gives the illusion of more space. The fun leather ottomans at the foot of the bed provide the perfect pop of color while maintaining the soothing neutral palette in play. Soft grey bed linens and accessories help to bridge the colors found in the rug into the rest of the space.
Cozy White Guest Room – House Becomes Home Interiors
This tiny bedroom by House Becomes Home Interiors packs a big punch. This space was done in collaboration with Serena and Lily, and their coastal, relaxed vibe can be felt instantly. A slim weathered wood bench is perched at the foot of the bed. To create balance, the same light wood stain can be found in the nightstand and the shelves. Layered pillows and a cozy alpaca throw finishes off this simple, polished room.

Dreamy Canopy Bed – CC and Mike
As a lover of anything pink, I can’t get enough of this room. The soft blush and navy tones of the rug are the perfect jumping off point for this space. Those soft tones are carried up off the floor and onto the bench through the blush velvet pillows. A thin, black iron bed frame breaks up all the light tones. The addition of an upholstered head and footboard helps soften all the iron just enough to keep this space cozy. Simple bed linens and wall art finish off this room. If only I had tall enough ceilings to do this in my own bedroom!

Many Faced Room – Oh Eight Oh Nine
If you follow Tarina from Oh Eight Oh Nine, you’ve probably seen one of the many, many transformations this bedroom has gone through. While the accent colors and decor have changed, the white backdrop has remained. This iteration is my personal favorite; high contrast blacks and whites mixed with soft blush and gray tones. Tarina’s space (in every iteration) is the perfect example of just how versatile a white bedroom can be!

Black and White Balance – Studio McGee
Saving one of the best for last! This Studio McGee bedroom has it all- crisp white walls, rich dark woods, black accents and neutral textiles. The simple white bedding helps to break up the darker colors on the floor and bed frame. The black light fixtures and “beams” on the ceiling provide a nice contrast against the bright white walls. Bridge fabrics in various neutrals on the bed create visual interest and help tie in the gold framed artwork. This is a room in perfect harmony.
